Manager D365 / Dynamics AX Finance Implementation & Lead Finance Consultant
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX Finance Manager with strong global rollout, finance transformation, and team leadership expertise. The role involves leading end-to-end ERP finance implementations, managing multi-country rollouts, driving change management, and ensuring successful adoption of Dynamics AX/D365 Finance solutions across manufacturing and sales organizations.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/2012 and D365 Finance implementations, including:
- Inception / Discovery
- Elaboration / Design
- Construction
- Transition & Post-Go-Live Support
- Act as Lead Finance Consultant for GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, Project Accounting, and Management Reporter modules.
- Drive multi-country, multi-legal-entity rollouts across Europe, APAC, Middle East, Africa, and Americas.
- Manage data migration from legacy systems (GL, AP, AR, FA, Inventory).
- Ensure smooth month-end and year-end close post go-live.
Finance & Domain Expertise
- Translate complex finance and accounting requirements into AX/D365 solutions.
- Configure VAT/GST, localization, statutory reporting, and country-specific compliance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Guide users on project accounting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and cost of sales processes.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Conduct workshops with business users, finance controllers, and leadership teams.
- Work closely with global stakeholders, directors, and program boards.
- Act as a trusted advisor for finance transformation initiatives.
Change Management & Training
- Lead change management and communication workstreams.
- Design and deliver:
- Train-the-Trainer programs
- End-user training
- Process documentation, BPMs, and help guides
- Develop training materials using tools such as ClickLearn and CHM/Helpinator.
Team & Project Leadership
- Lead and mentor finance consultants and implementation teams.
- Review functional designs, test scenarios, and user stories.
- Coordinate with technical teams for custom reports and enhancements.
- Track project progress, risks, and status reporting to management.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous process improvements post go-live.
- Support Power BI and AX/D365 reporting requirements.
- Participate in solution design for factory and manufacturing finance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- 20+ years overall finance experience, including 810+ years in Dynamics AX/D365 Finance.
- Strong experience in Discrete Manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of global ERP rollouts and onsite implementations.
- Deep functional knowledge of Finance modules and Project Accounting.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
