Job Purpose: Officer - Security is responsible for executing security operations in alignment with the security strategy. This role involves supporting risk assessments, implementing mitigation measures, conducting patrols, managing access control, and ensuring the protection of assets to maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Access control - men, material, information and vehicles. Check and deploy adequate manpower for managing access control and Property Protection in the Port.

Situational Awareness - Awareness about special INT inputs to change the Security level. Develop a reliable Internal and External security intelligence support network for asset protection. Conduct Security Awareness program for employees and contract workmen

Monitor and conduct briefing of Shift Security Supervisors / guards. Special gate checks, mock drills and inputs from other functionaries for performance monitoring

Effective implementation of Security procedures and documentation at the Port. Monitor and ensure 100% training of Security personnel for skill and knowledge development

Proactively identify and develop intelligence network to gather inputs on the emerging security threats and its trends in internal and external environment that may impact the security of the Port

Conducts internal and third-party security audits, mock drills and surprise checks to ensure reliability of Security management system. Ensure ISPS, IMS, SR - SMS, ISMS compliances of the Port.

Investigate Security incidents, investigate fraud, crime and take remedial measures

Gathering of information regarding commission / likelihood of crime and other activities. Information collection and sharing with field teams in mitigating risks. Counter espionage and prevent leakage of information from within. Collate the information received from all sources and disseminate to the right corners

Officer will manage the Training curriculum for on-roll and outsourced Security staff. He will conduct the induction training, inhouse and on the job training to provide good knowledge before deploying at zones

Officer will prepare and manage all the budget related activities, monthly bills of Security Outsourced Staff and timely payment to service providers as per PO guidelines. He will also check and submit all legal, statutory compliances against the Outsourced Security Management as per the standard commercial guidelines.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Graduate / Post Graduate (BBA/Forensic-Security/Operations/Any / Defense Graduate)

NCC C Certificate - Preferable

Certificate of Computer Proficiency (Advanced) - Preferable

Security Certification (PFSO/CPP/CFE/TAPA) - Preferable

Short Term First Aid/Fire Certification - Preferable

Work Experience

08 years (Min) of work experience with 3-4 years (Min) in a similar role - leading Security operations at a site/ work-unit for mid/large sized organizations

Ex-Servicemen from Armed Forces & served at various locations.

Hands-on experience with formulating and implementing SOPs and operating model for Security Operations (Access Control, Patrolling and Surveillance, Traffic Management
