Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Duty Manager – Front Office at Grand Continent Hotels Limited, located in Udaipur. The Duty Manager – Front Office oversees daily front desk operations, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, accurate reservations handling, and efficient room allocation. The role includes supervising front office team members, monitoring guest interactions, and resolving escalated concerns promptly and professionally. Responsibilities also involve coordinating with housekeeping and other departments for room readiness, managing cash and billing procedures, and maintaining front office reports and records. The Duty Manager helps enforce brand standards, trains and mentors staff, and supports the Front Office Manager in achieving guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue goals.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in front office or guest services in a hotel environment, ideally in a supervisory or duty manager capacity.
  • Strong customer service, guest relations, and conflict-resolution skills, with a calm and professional approach under pressure.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate front office teams, with strong interpersonal and people-management skills.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and basic MS Office tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage.
  • Sound understanding of front office procedures, cash handling, billing, and basic revenue and occupancy concepts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance and a guest-centric mindset aligned with Grand Continent Hotels service standards.
