Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Role
Operation Management
Oversee daily operations at the AOCC and JCC during shifts to ensure smooth functioning of airport systems, including flight operations, baggage handling, and passenger management.
Monitor and coordinate real-time operational data to maintain high On-Time Performance (OTP), proactively addressing delays or disruptions.
Oversee the allocation of airport resources such as check-in counters, boarding gates, parking stands, and conveyor belts to optimize asset utilization.
Manage Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) to display real-time, accurate information for passengers and stakeholders.
Monitor and notify stakeholders of adverse weather warnings and implement Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) during weather disruptions to ensure safe operations.
Crisis Management And Incident Response
Develop and implement crisis management plans to effectively respond to emergencies such as security threats, medical incidents, and operational disruptions.
Ensure the effective implementation of Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) and maintain close coordination with ATC during weather challenges.
Provide training and conduct regular drills with AOCC/JCC staff for better preparedness during emergencies.
Resource Allocation and Utilization:
Allocate and manage resources such as personnel, equipment, and technology within the AOCC to ensure optimal utilization and operational efficiency.
Monitor resource usage including ground support equipment and personnel deployment, addressing any issues related to allocation, availability, and maintenance.
Compliance And Regulatory Oversight
Ensure strict adherence to the Operational Management Development Agreement (OMDA) and comply with guidelines from government agencies and regulatory bodies (e.g., DGCA, AAI).
Implement and monitor the Noise Abatement Plan to mitigate the environmental impact of airport operations, aligning with prescribed standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Documentation And Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all operational activities, events, and incidents to maintain an updated operational record.
Generate and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to airport performance, On-Time Performance (OTP), resource utilization, and emergency management.
Oversee the maintenance of MIS systems to ensure that operational data is captured correctly for aero invoicing and compliance audits.
Prepare comprehensive reports on disruptions, emergencies, and performance trends for internal review and management decision-making.
Team Leadership And Development
Lead and mentor team members within the AOCC/JCC, providing guidance on best practices in airport operations, emergency response, and customer service standards.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for team members, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and performance benchmarks.
Stakeholder Coordination And Communication
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines, ground services, security, and customs, to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise within the AOCC.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the AOCC and other JCC departments to resolve operational challenges, improve efficiency, and enhance passenger experience.
Process Improvement
Support in the execution of Business Excellence programs focusing on process improvement, energy-saving initiatives, and operational efficiency during shift operations.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) to ensure uninterrupted airport operations in case of emergencies.
Assist in DA-CDM (Domestic Airport Collaborative Decision Making) implementation to improve operational coordination between stakeholders and enhance On-Time Performance (OTP).
Digital Mindset
Use real-time dashboards, data analytics, and collaborative decision-making tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure accurate data capture for generating MIS reports and aero invoicing for operational reconciliation.
Monitor the use of digital platforms like A-CDM to streamline collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Work Experience
10 years of relevant experience in managing operations at a control centre
