The Due Diligence Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Supplier Due Diligence Analysts. Lead by example, undertaking the operational supplier due diligence duties, to set the standards, drive the set-up, stabilization and adoption of newly formed FEI Due Diligence team. Support the Due Diligence Lead in recruiting, setting objectives, training and performance managing the team.
Act as 1st line of escalation of queries or concerns from across the team, procurement, or wider business. Responsible for the smooth, timely, accurate delivery of Procurement Services day-to-day activities to the assigned divisional business and its suppliers. Responsible for contributing to the design, development and effective operation of these processes to deliver best in class service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Supervisory:
- Assist driving implementation, set-up/stabilization of FEI
- Contribute to the setting of objectives for the team and identify training needs.
- Ensuring that required training is delivered.
- Support the design and production of appropriate KPIs. Monitor and manage team performance against those.
- Seek feedback on processes and systems (within team and wider business) to gather perspectives and ideas for improvements.
- Act as first line of escalation for queries or complaints from team members or wider business.
- Support (FEI and Proc Services) management in cascading and reinforcing messages to team members.
- Support recruitment of suitable staff with appropriate skills, competencies, and attitudes
Operational Delivery
- Administering the Supplier Due Diligence process across Flutter divisions
- Provide user support to stakeholders including business requestors and approval teams.
- Ensure Due Diligence is correctly sent to all relevant approvers in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and understand different types of legal agreements.
- Performing the relevant screening of suppliers to ensure appropriate compliance ratings are assigned.
- Manage and control the day-to-day tasks for the Flutter online Procurement system.
- Managing the Procurement email inbox and answering queries in a timely manner
- Becoming a champion of the Procurement policy, through fielding questions from various internal business units
- Coordinate tickets with system support for resolution of system issues, improvements and project rollouts.
- Performance of risk management procedures around supplier onboarding and new engagements with existing suppliers. - Includes verification of details provided and vetting of suppliers for credit and compliance risk
Systems Responsibilities
- Support effective ongoing delivery Procurement technology, ensuring it operates effectively for users, within and beyond the Procurement team.
- Work with internal technology teams (e.g., Infrastructure, DBA, IS, Workplace, Finance Systems) to ensure that Procurement-related technology operates effectively in accordance with PPB IT requirements and standards (e.g., Single Sign-On, IS, GDPR, user access review)
- Support in management of suppliers of Procurement Technology (e.g. Oracle for Deal Sheet & iProc) and or related service providers (e.g. Namos) to ensure delivery meets the requirements of the business.
- Manage projects and service requests and tickets with external and internal Procurement tech partners for incidents, fixes, improvements and updates
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, discuss and coordinate their requests for system enhancements and improvements
- Specialise and become a subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact for the business on Procurement systems and processes.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
- Minimum 4yrs experience performing an analytical role in a operational procurement role (Know Your Supplier)
- Degree level educated candidates are desired but not essential.
- Experience working in a data analysis/Procurement environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in effectively leading teams, motivating staff, developing positive morale and promoting strong collaboration would be an advantage.
- Advanced MS Word and Excel skills
- Ability to use initiative and solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience of supervising (or team leading) a small team would be preferable.
