Job Title

  1. Senior Software Engineer – Duck Creek Policy Configurator

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Duck Creek Policy

configuration and development to support implementation and enhancement of policy

administration solutions in P&C insurance programs.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in Duck Creek Policy (Author, Rating, Forms, Express 3) and exposure to Duck Creek OnDemand (DCOD), along with experience in configuration,

customization, and business rule implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Configuration

• Design, configure, and implement Duck Creek Policy solutions

• Work on Author, Rating, Forms, Manuscripts, Batches, Tasks, Notifications and Express 3 configuration

• Configure rating rules, product definitions, and validation logic

• Support enhancements, bug fixing, Debug issues with help of Data Tester ,Trace Monitor , UTIL ,

TSV and assist in fixing defects and performance improvements.

• Assist in integrations with external systems (API-based)

Functional &Policy Support

• Implement policy lifecycle processes (quote, bind, issue, endorsements, renewals)

• Translate business requirements into system configuration

• Support product setup including coverages, risks, and rating structures

• Validate premium calculations and business rules

• Work with SMEs to ensure alignment with business requirements

Delivery & Team Collaboration

• Work with delivery teams to ensure timely and quality output

• Provide guidance to junior team members when required

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities

• Support QA teams during testing and defect resolution

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with business analysts and technical leads

• Communicate progress, risks, and issues

• Support UAT and deployment activities

Required Skills & Experience

Duck Creek & Technical

• 5–8 years of experience in P&C insurance IT with Duck Creek exposure

• Strong hands-on experience in Duck Creek Policy configuration

• Expertise in Author, Rating, Forms, Manuscripts, Batches, Tasks, Notifications and Express 3

configuration

• Exposure to Duck Creek On Demand (DCOD)

• Basic understanding of APIs and integrations

• Knowledge of SQL, XML/JSON

Functional &Domain

• Strong understanding of policy lifecycle and underwriting processes

• Ability to map requirements to Duck Creek configuration

• Exposure to reinsurance concepts (good to have)

Good to Have / Nice to Have

• Exposure to Duck Creek Billing/Claims integration

• Experience in Agile projects

• Basic knowledge of cloud-based deployments

2.Job Description: Senior Duck Creek Billing – P&C Insurance

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Duck Creek Billing Consultant with hands-on experience in Duck

Creek Billing (DCB) within the P&C Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have

strong expertise in billing processes, system configuration, and premium

reconciliation, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable billing

solutions.

This role requires a strong functional–technical background and the ability to collaborate with

cross-functional teams across the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Billing Delivery & Requirement Management

Gather, analyze, and document requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) focused on

Duck Creek Billing

Understand and configure billing processes including:

o Billing plans & schedules

o Invoicing and payment processing

o Collections, dunning, and refunds

Identify and resolve premium mismatches within billing systems

Support SIT/UAT, defect tracking, and release cycles

Billing Configuration &Development

Configure and support Duck Creek Billing (DCB) solutions using:

o Author (Manuscripts, XML/XSLT rules)

o Billing workflows and configurations

Implement and validate billing-related functionalities and enhancements

Support integrations with external systems (payment gateways, finance systems,

APIs)

Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery

Data Validation & Reconciliation

Perform data validation and reconciliation for billing transactions

Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies in billing data

Support testing and validation of billing outputs

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams

Participate in sprint ceremonies, workshops, and demos

Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively

Team Contribution

Support junior team members on billing configurations and best practices

Contribute to documentation, reusable assets, and process improvements

Required Skills

4–8 years of experience in P&C Insurance IT, with strong focus on Duck Creek Billing

Strong understanding of:

o Billing lifecycle (invoicing, payments, collections, refunds)

o Billing configuration and workflows

Hands-on experience with:

o Duck Creek Author & Manuscripts

o Integration concepts (REST/SOAP APIs)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Basic understanding of SQL/data validation

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Duck Creek Billing/Platform certification (preferred)

Exposure to C#, .NET, and API integrations

Experience in implementation or production support projects
