Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Drug Safety Operations Lead to manage day‑to‑day delivery, lead high‑performing teams, and partner closely with clients to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and efficient pharmacovigilance operations.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong operational control, people leadership, and a sharp focus on quality, productivity, and delivery excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Own end‑to‑end daily operations, ensuring consistent adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and timelines
  • Lead, coach, and mentor teams to build capability, accountability, and sustained performance
  • Act as a key client point of contact, handling operational discussions, escalations, and risk mitigation
  • Monitor and improve productivity, quality metrics, and workflow efficiency across the portfolio
  • Drive effective resource planning, ensuring the right skills and capacity at the right time
  • Proactively track and manage WIP, ageing, and delivery risks to avoid downstream issues
  • Identify, highlight, and mitigate operational, quality, and delivery risks early
  • Champion process improvements and efficiency initiatives that improve outcomes for both clients and the business
  • Balance delivery rigor with commercial awareness, supporting cost control, profitability, and sustainable scaling

What We're Looking For

  • An experienced Drug Safety Operations professional with typically 6–12 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance / Drug Safety, including 2–4 years in a team‑lead or operational leadership role
  • Strong hands‑on exposure to PV operations such as ICSR processing, follow‑up, reconciliation, literature surveillance, or aggregate reporting support
  • Proven ability to lead teams while balancing quality, productivity, SLAs/KPIs, and delivery timelines
  • Experience managing client communication, escalations, and operational risks in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of resource planning, WIP management, and workflow optimisation
  • A quality‑first mindset with commercial awareness, understanding the impact of resourcing, efficiency, and process discipline on delivery outcomes and profitability
  • Educational background in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline
  • (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, PharmD, Life Sciences or equivalent)
  • We're open to profiles with strong operational leadership and delivery ownership, even if their experience spans a different mix of PV domains.

Why This Role

  • High ownership and visibility in client‑facing operations
  • Opportunity to shape delivery excellence and process maturity
  • Work with teams where quality and patient safety truly matters

If you're passionate about patient safety, thrive in fast‑paced operations, and enjoy leading teams to deliver consistently high standards, we'd love to hear from you.
