Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai

Qualification and Key Skills Required:

• PhD with relevant experience OR
• MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
• BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
• Experience in conceptual sizing and designing of UAVs using design methodology and calculations
• High Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, and other 3D CAD software for designs, Design for Manufacturing approach
•  Expertise in Thermal and Vibration Management, selecting components and modifying UAVs based on tests, payloads, and sensor requirements
• Understanding of flight physics, strength of materials, composite materials, aerodynamics, structures etc.

Job Profile:

• Design calculations of various types of UAVs, including multi-copters, fixed-wing, VTOL hybrid UAVs
• Propulsion system selection, Multi-Objective Optimization and preliminary performance Estimation of UAV platforms
• Design, Development and testing of Test rigs/setups like vibration, stress, strain and deflection analysis of UAV's
• Tuning, Calibration, Integration of UAV Subsystems
• Detailed CAD models, Engineering drawings and complete CAD assembly of systems
• Document design processes, test results, and provide technical reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of UAV systems
• Any other work assigned as per requirement.
