Role Description The Driver Sourcing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru North, responsible for building and maintaining a reliable pool of professional drivers for Athena's fleet, including its electric vehicles. This role involves sourcing, screening, and onboarding drivers through various channels, such as local networks, referral programs, digital platforms, and partnerships with driving schools or agencies. The Driver Sourcing Manager will coordinate interviews and test drives, verify documents and licenses, and ensure drivers meet company standards for safety, conduct, and customer service. They will track driver supply versus operational demand, work closely with operations and fleet management to fill shifts, and help optimize driver allocation across corporate, airport, and city services. The role also includes maintaining driver records, monitoring performance and retention, resolving driver-related issues, and contributing to initiatives that enhance driver satisfaction, compliance, and long-term engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in talent sourcing, recruitment, or vendor management, preferably in transportation, logistics, or related service industries.
- Proven ability to build and manage driver or field workforce pipelines, including outreach, screening, and onboarding processes.
- Solid knowledge of local geography in Bengaluru and surrounding areas, with an understanding of transport patterns and peak demand times.
- Good understanding of driver documentation and compliance requirements (licenses, permits, background checks, insurance, and safety standards).
- Proficiency with basic office and data tools (spreadsheets, CRM or recruitment tracking systems, communication platforms) to manage driver databases and reports.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage drivers and collaborate with internal teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple sourcing channels, schedules, and priorities efficiently.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru North and occasionally during extended or flexible hours based on operational needs.
- Prior experience working with electric vehicle fleets or sustainable transport solutions is
