Job Summary: The Drivability Calibration Lead is responsible for leading the calibration activities focused on vehicle drivability, ensuring optimal performance, comfort, and responsiveness across various driving conditions. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, and validation teams to deliver high-quality calibration for internal combustion engines (ICE), hybrid, or electric powertrains.Key Responsibilities:.Lead drivability calibration activities for assigned vehicle programs from development to production..Lead drivability calibration team size of approx. 10 members.Collaborate with simulation and modeling teams to predict and refine drivability behavior...Interface with OEMs and internal stakeholders to align on drivability targets and customer expectations.Interface with multiple External development Stake holders ( AVL, FEV, Punch, AISIN……).Mentor junior calibration engineers and support team development..Lead the Joint evaluation sign off drives together with Customer & Consultants.Define and execute calibration strategies for throttle response, torque delivery, gear shift quality, and pedal mapping..Conduct vehicle testing in diverse environments (e.g., altitude, hot/cold climate, urban/rural roads)..Analyze drivability metrics using tools like INCA, ETAS, .Support issue resolution through root cause analysis and calibration refinement.Document calibration changes and maintain traceability in version control systems
