Job Description

The Drilling Office HSE is responsible for providing guidance and leadership regarding

implementing industry, regulatory and company HSE policies, guidelines and best practices

in offshore drilling operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and work closely with departments, including Contractors on Health, Safety

and Environment (HSE) matters, to ensure that conducted activities are in full compliance to

HSE Regulatory And Company Requirements.

  • Provide analysis on specific concerning areas impacting HSE performance by identifying

gaps and monitoring the implementation of intervention plans for gap closure and

continuous improvement initiatives towards achieving HSE excellence.

  • Lead regular HSE inspection/assurance to ensure that HSE risk associated with work

activities as well as risk posed by facilities, equipment, and consumables are managed to a

level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) and guide frontline of wells in the

implementation of safety programs.

  • Conduct/participate in site incident investigation, ensuring that the incident investigation

process is carried out in accordance with the incident investigation & reporting procedures

and to effectively identify potential root causes and develop effective intervention plan to

prevent the reoccurrence of similar incident to safeguard and protect people, environment,

asset & reputation.

  • Participate in HSE Risk Assessment and report review to ensure accurate assessment of risks

and all threats are being addressed, adequate control and recovery barriers are identified and

to influence Technical Authority and Line Management for adoption of recommendations.

  • Plan, coordinate and analyze effectiveness of emergency preparedness and drill exercise

and drive the implementation of effective emergency response programs at work location.

  • Manage the tracking and monitoring on the closure of action items of emergency

drills/exercise.

  • Formulate areas to be improved through analyzing Contractor HSE performance data and

assist Operation team in providing sound advice to contractor for HSE compliance; and

alignment with Upstream HSE including evaluation of tendering processes.

  • Monitor implementation of intervention plans for gap closure and ensure continuous

improvement towards sustenance of Contractor HSE excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in offshore drilling operations HSE
  • Have degree in related technical field
  • Have relevant safety officer and training certifications i.e from DOSH/NIOSH
  • Good communication skills, English and Bahasa
  • Fit for offshore trip
