We are currently hiring for a client in Oman seeking a skilled Draft Man to contribute to their construction projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and plans.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy.
- Interpret and modify existing designs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Perform site visits to gather relevant measurements.
- Assist in the production of technical documentation.
- Coordinate with construction teams for practical implementation.
- Review project specifications and requirements thoroughly.
- Create and maintain project schedules related to drafting tasks.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other software for drafting purposes.
- Maintain organized records of all construction drawings.
- Provide support during construction phases and troubleshoot issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in drafting.
- Present and explain drawings to stakeholders when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Draft Man in the construction field.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Solid understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations applicable in Oman.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Time management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Technical diploma or degree in drafting or related field.
- Experience with 3D modeling is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction management software is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
