Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to conduct packaging studies for powertrain components. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in geometric compatibility and package study evaluations to ensure vehicle parts meet design requirements before manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geometric compatibility studies including static and dynamic checks, clearances, variations, positional correctness, and interface completeness using Teamcenter/Vismockup/CATIA V5/3DX.
• Perform package study evaluations to verify that each vehicle part aligns with master design requirements prior to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with regional cross-functional teams and resolve CAD or packaging issues.
• Interpret technical drawings and utilize CAD positioning effectively.
• Utilize knowledge of BOM, program complexity, and flexible part simulation studies such as vent, cooling hoses, and bellows.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of experience specifically in DPA.
• Proficiency in powertrain components package study, particularly using CATIA V5/3DX.
• Practical experience in clearance and interference checks, vehicle integration, packaging, flexible part simulation, and design rules for powertrain/vehicle components in a 3DX environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in CAD positioning.
• Familiarity with BOM and program complexity.
• Experience in flexible part simulation studies such as vent, cooling hoses, and bellows.
  
  

Work Environment

The role involves working in a collaborative environment with regional cross-functional teams. You will be using advanced software such as Teamcenter/Vismockup/CATIA V5/3DX for conducting studies and evaluations. The position requires a readiness to join and is open to diverse profiles.
