Job Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced IB DP Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The candidate should be committed to fostering inquiry-based learning and supporting students in achieving academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with IB DP curriculum guidelines
- Teach both SL (Standard Level) and HL (Higher Level) Chemistry
- Design and implement assessments, including Internal Assessments (IA) and mock exams
- Guide students in laboratory work, ensuring safety and proper scientific practices
- Support students with Extended Essays (EE) in Chemistry, where applicable
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback
- Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills into teaching practices
- Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, and IB-related documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning
- Engage in professional development and stay updated with IB standards
Qualifications & Requirements:- Master's / Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- IB DP teaching experience preferred (minimum 2–3 years)
- Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Experience in conducting practical/laboratory sessions
- IB training/certification is an added advantage
