Role Summary

We are seeking talented .NET Engineers who are passionate about designing and building high-quality, scalable backend systems. You will develop backend services, APIs, connectors, and platform capabilities using modern .NET technologies.

This role provides opportunity to participate in and influence architecture decisions, technical leadership, mentorship, and innovation initiatives. This role is ideal for engineers who have a strong technical foundation, curiosity to learn, and readiness to embrace emerging technologies including AI and automation.

Key Outcomes (First 6–12 Months)

• Build robust backend components, services, and integrations using .NET.
• Improve performance, reliability, and testability of assigned modules.
• Deliver features with clean architecture, best practices, and high test coverage.
• Contribute to ContinuousIntegration/CDel improvements, observability, and automation.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development approaches where relevant (e.g., code generation, automated testing insights, documentation enrichment).
• Senior/Lead levels:
• Lead architectural discussions and elevate engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them to create high quality work.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI or automation to improve engineering velocity.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities (All Levels)

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and integrations using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Build connectors to integrate external systems (REST APIs, instrument integrations, messaging systems).
• Write secure, maintainable, testable code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production and integration issues using structured problem-solving.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
• Use developer productivity tools—including AI-assisted tools (where applicable)—to improve efficiency and code quality.

Additional Responsibilities (Senior / Lead Levels)

• Own end-to-end design and architecture of key components.
• Lead technical spikes, proof-of-concept evaluations, and modernization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for AI-driven or automation-enabled enhancements.
• Mentor developers and uplift engineering culture and processes.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building APIs, backend systems, integrations, and microservices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Experience working with third-party integrations using SDKs based on web services, COM, and OLE interfaces
• Experience building background applications using Windows Services
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Working knowledge and understanding of AI-assisted tools.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud-native development.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus).
• DevOps tooling experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Experience working with Windows API
• Exposure to building desktop applications with WinForms, WinUI, or WPF
• Exposure to lab informatics or scientific software.
• Experience building AI Agents and working with MCP servers
• Any experience integrating AI models or ML services is a plus.
