Role Brief:
To bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the development team by translating business needs into functional requirements. The role involves BRD/FRD creation, UAT coordination, KPI logic implementation, and data-driven decision-making, who can act as a domain expert for Indian Capital market/Mutual Fund businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
- Analyze business processes in Mutual Fund sales, Stock broking business, distribution, and branch operations.
- Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as AUM, FIFO, AHT, Capital Gain and brokerage calculations.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
2. Stakeholder & Development Team Coordination
- Act as a liaison between business teams (Sales, Distribution, Operations) and IT/development teams.
- Validate technical solutions against business requirements before deployment.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and resolve feedback from internal teams/clients.
3. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Develop automated reports and dashboards for business insights along with BI team.
- Analyze Stock transaction, RTA (Registrar & Transfer Agent) data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize sales, distribution, and operational workflows.
4. Process Improvement & Training
- Identify gaps in existing processes and propose future-ready solutions.
- Train development teams on Mutual Fund domain knowledge (transaction processing, KPI logic, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations in all business solutions.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Mutual Fund Sales processes, MFDex data and Sales Review KPIs.
- Familiarity with Branch Ops, transaction flow, brokerage computation.
- Prior experience in F&D (Fact & Dimension) design and dashboard automation is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel preferred.
- Analytical mindset with ability to bring strategic business insights from large data sets.
- Understanding of regulatory reports like MCR, RORR, Commission Disclosures is a plus.
