Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to join our team in Ahmedabad, India. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization's documentation systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement document control procedures and systems to ensure efficient management of all project-related documentation
- Maintain a comprehensive document management database, including version control, distribution, and archiving of documents
- Review and process incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and maintain document control processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct regular audits of document control systems to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and distribute reports on document status, metrics, and other relevant information to stakeholders
- Train and support team members on document control procedures and best practices
- Assist in the development and maintenance of document templates and standardized formats
- Ensure proper security and confidentiality of sensitive documents
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth information flow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10years of experience in document control or a similar role
- Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of document control procedures, best practices, and industry standards
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in English at a business level
- Experience with IT systems and databases
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in document control or records management (preferred)
