Opening for Pharm D/Phd Pharmacy Expert inPharmacovigilance & Adverse Event Reporting

Location: Gurgaon Sector 32

Salary upto 12lpa

Position Responsibility summary:

Core Competencies

  • Clinical Knowledge in:
  • Oncology: understanding of chemotherapy protocols, drug interactions, and supportive care.
  • Diabetes: insulin therapy, oral antidiabetics, patient adherence strategies.
  • Obesity: pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, including GLP-1 receptor agonists like Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)
  • IBD: biologics, immunomodulators, and the impact of obesity on drug pharmacokinetics.
  • Prescription Review:
  • Evaluate appropriateness, indication, legality, and safety of prescriptions.
  • Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing errors
  • Communication Skills:
  • Ability to liaise effectively with physicians to clarify or recommend changes to prescriptions.
  • Provide clear, empathetic counselling to patients and caregivers.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions, communications, and patient outcomes.
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting protocols.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • Prescription Oversight:
  • Review prescriptions for high-risk therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure alignment with clinical guidelines and patient-specific factors.
  • Physician Collaboration:
  • Proactively communicate with doctors to resolve ambiguities or suggest optimizations.
  • Share structured feedback and insights from patient interactions.
  • Patient Support:
  • Educate patients on medication adherence, side effects, and lifestyle modifications, if required
  • Act as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers, especially in post-prescription support programs
  • Device training to patients

Additional Roles and Responsibilities in PSP Program

  • Call Auditing: Conduct regular audits of tele-educator calls to assess and enhance both soft skills (e.g., empathy, communication) and technical competencies (e.g., product knowledge, AE handling).
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver structured training programs for tele-educators, focusing on:
  • Soft skills development.
  • Technical knowledge related to therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, diabetes, obesity, IBD).
  • Process adherence and compliance protocols.
  • GRN Approvals: Oversee and approve Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate inventory reconciliation in coordination with procurement and finance teams.
  • Adverse Event (AE) Follow-up: Coordinate with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure timely follow-up and documentation of reported adverse events, in alignment with pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Escalation Management: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving escalations raised by tele-educators, including complex patient cases, communication challenges, and operational issues.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with:
  • Physicians and specialists.
  • Pharmaceutical companies and health authorities.
  • Patient support teams and educators.

Educational Background & Certification

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
  • State licensure as a registered pharmacist.
