Company Description Doctotalk is a real-time, pay-per-minute teleconsultation platform that connects users instantly with verified medical practitioners via chat or video, without scheduling or waiting. The platform is designed to help doctors monetize their expertise efficiently by setting their own per-minute consultation rates and working without clinic overhead. Doctotalk's availability-driven model enables high-frequency, short-duration consultations, improving utilization, earnings, and patient access across geographies. The platform features encrypted communication, transparent pricing, integrated wallets, and reliable session handling, with data managed in line with platform policies. Doctotalk is a technology layer that connects patients with independent practitioners and does not itself provide medical advice or emergency services.
Role Description This is a remote role for a Doctor on the Doctotalk platform. The Doctor will provide real-time teleconsultations to patients via chat and video, delivering safe, evidence-based, and empathetic medical advice within their licensed scope of practice. Responsibilities include taking detailed histories, reviewing symptoms and prior records where available, formulating differential diagnoses, recommending investigations as appropriate, and outlining clear management plans or referrals. The Doctor will document each encounter accurately in the platform, ensure adherence to medical, ethical, and data-privacy standards, and follow relevant telemedicine and jurisdictional regulations.
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted medical degree (MBBS, MD, BAMS, or equivalent) and valid license to practice medicine in at least one applicable jurisdiction.
  • Board certification or equivalent training in a primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, or relevant specialty.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in history-taking, virtual examination techniques, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up decision-making.
  • Strong communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses, risks, and treatment options clearly and neutrally in a virtual setting.
  • Comfort with telemedicine tools, electronic documentation, and secure chat/video platforms; ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, data privacy, and adherence to local telehealth regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time and availability efficiently, and handle high-frequency, short consultations.
  • Willingness to serve diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity and without discrimination based on background, identity, or beliefs.
  • Prior telehealth experience is preferred but not mandatory; openness to learning digital care best practices is essential.
