About The Opportunity
Medico Hub is hiring on-site Duty Doctors (MBBS) to provide clinical coverage at our Namakkal, Tamil Nadu facility. This is a hands-on clinical role focused on delivering safe, timely and compassionate care in OPD, emergency and shift-based duty settings.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end clinical care for walk-in and emergency patients during assigned shifts: clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and disposition.
- Perform triage, stabilisation and acute management of common emergency presentations; initiate referrals to higher centres when required.
- Carry out routine procedures including IV cannulation, wound care, suturing/minor procedures and basic resuscitation as needed.
- Document clinical notes, prescriptions and discharge/transfer instructions accurately in the facility records or EMR system.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, paramedics and visiting specialists to ensure continuity of care and efficient patient flow.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, clinical governance guidelines and statutory reporting requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree (verified) and active state medical registration (NMC/State Medical Council).
- Prior experience working as a Duty Doctor/Medical Officer in OPD or emergency settings.
- Practical competence in triage, IV cannulation and basic wound management.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends; available for on-site duty in Namakkal.
- Proficient clinical documentation and prescription-writing skills; familiarity with EMR preferred.
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience with point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for emergency use.
- Prior experience working in rural/semi-urban healthcare settings and local language (Tamil) proficiency.
