Deputy Manager - Procurement (Electronic Components)
A seasoned Deputy Manager - Procurement to lead the sourcing of electronic components, ensuring a robust supply chain that supports our innovative product development and high-volume production.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for electronic components such as semiconductors, capacitors, resistors, PCBs, and power modules, ensuring timely availability for production.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with global suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies and quality standards aligned with power electronics specifications.
- Analyze market trends, forecast demand, and implement strategies to reduce lead times and mitigate risks like component obsolescence.
- Evaluate and develop supplier relationships, conducting regular performance audits to maintain compliance with ISO standards and environmental policies.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to integrate procurement insights into product design, supporting innovation in power efficiency and reliability.
- Manage inventory levels using ERP systems to optimize stock without excess, targeting a 95% on-time delivery rate.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years focused on electronic components in manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing for high-tech sectors, ideally power electronics or automotive electronics.
- Proficiency in procurement tools like SAP, Ariba, or similar, and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
