EV Powertrain Functional Safety Engineer

1.ISO 26262 Safety Lifecycle Execution

• Lead and execute the completefunctional safety lifecyclefor EV Powertrain system
• Develop and maintainSafety Plans,Item Definitions,Safety Goals,FSRs, andTSRs.
• Translate safety requirements intosoftware and hardware safety mechanisms, ensuring traceability and compliance.

2.Hazard and Risk Analysis (HARA)

• ConductHARAfor EV Powertrain system
• Performconfirmation reviewsand corrective actions
• Collaborate with system architects to derive and allocate safety requirements.

3.Safety Concept Development

• Create and reviewFunctional Safety Concepts (FSC)andTechnical Safety Concepts (TSC)for EV Powertrain system and EV Controller.

4.Safety Analysis and Verification

• Perform and review:

.FMEA,FMEDA,DFA, andFTAfor various system/subsystems.

.MIL,HIL, andPIL testingfor validation of safety requirements.

• Supportsafety case dev, incl. documentation and audit readiness.

5.Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration

• Work withcross-functional teamsincluding software, hardware, validation, and suppliers

6.Process and Compliance Management

• ApplyASPICE,V-model, and other software development processes to ensure systematic capability in software safety.
• Supportinternal process improvementsand contribute to the development of safety engineering best practices.

Core Experience

• 5+ years of experiencein Functional Safety in EV Powertrain system
• Proven track record in executingcomplete safety lifecycleactivities as per ISO 26262.

Technical Expertise

• Strong command over:
• HARA,FSC,FSR,TSR,TSC
• FMEA,FMEDA,DFA,FTA
• Safety Case,Safety Plan, andin-vehicle testing
• Experience withMIL, HIL, and PIL testingenvironments.

Process Knowledge

• Familiarity withASPICE,V-model, andsystem/software development processes.
• Ability to translate safety concepts intosoftware and hardware implementations.

Tools and Methodologies

• Hands-on experience with tools for safety analysis and requirement management.
• Exposure torequirements and change management systems.

FuSa certification from TUV or other reputed organization (desirable)
