Job Description

Role :-

Cost reduction activities, cost reduction drives in the company.

VA-VE, Cost Workshop, Import part Localization, Inner Part Localization, Yield improvement etc.

Responsibilities :-

1)Extensive hands-on experience on cost reduction drives [VA-VE, Localization, Inner Part Location, yield improvement, Cost Workshops etc]

2)Teardown & functional analysis, cost estimation, part level benchmarking and techno-commercial comparison and analysis of following:

[All vehicle systems: a] Body, b] Interiors, c] Electrical & Electronic components, d] Chassis e] Powertrain components etc.]

3)Proposal analysis, making costing & negotiation with internal stake holders.

4)Vehicle Cost Analysis, BOM understanding and preparation etc.

5)Components vis--vis competitor vehicle parts

6)Generation of innovative value enhancement & design to cost proposal.

7)Should be a self-initiator, team player and passionate about cost reduction, analysis etc.

8)Should be good in generation of cost/weight reduction & new technology ideas.

Should be having excellent communication skills [Verbal/Written/Reports etc.]

Industrial Experience

Manufacturing Technology, Production Engineering, Research & DevelopmentAdditional experience New Technology Purchase & Costing Background with knowledge of Automotive New Technology Components

Competency Requirements :-

Technical/Functional-

1)Thorough technical as well commercial knowledge of all aspects of cost reduction for all automotive systems/subsystems/parts.

2)Thorough technical of product manufacturing technology and aspects of production engineering etc.

Managerial-

3)Plan and schedule activities in advance.

4)Ability to communicate with Peers/Vendors/Cross functional teams Machine Makers etc.

Positive attitude with willingness to undertake new initiatives.

Educational Qualification :-

B. E / B.Tech [Mechanical Engg], [ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engg ], [ Electrical Engg] [Electronics, Communication], [Mechatronics]
