KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Leads the operational excellence and quality efforts in strategy and business objectives.
-Introduces and implements structured and disciplined methods and tools for continuous improvement of manufacturing.
-Initiate and Facilitate TQM across division Manufacturing plants
-Drives bottom-line performance improvement in critical operational performance areas such as cost, quality, safety, and people management.
-Develops and designs a best-in-class lean continuous improvement and quality organizations, processes and procedures based on expert understanding, industry experience and insights into future direction.
-Lead/facilitate Six Sigma/8D Quality Improvement projects and/or events which address critical issues, helping to drive improvements in all facets of the business operations.
-Ensure periodic idea generation, prioritization on key areas & implementation of the identified CI projects
-Adhere to project review mechanisms at the corporate & divisional level for all the divisional CI projects
-Present monthly quality project report of the division to the corporate quality & divisional quality head
-Ensure with CI project leaders for timely completion of the project stages
-Function as an approver or verifier in the quality project management process
-Develop and lead a high-quality organization charged with ownership of product and process quality within the manufacturing sites.
-Provide leadership and coaching on the development of quality strategies for product families, assist team and key business partners in driving quality improvements based on customer data.
-Accountable for developing appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and operations metrics, lean strategy / execution.
-Execute Quality Audits for Manufacturing/vendors/Reliability Labs etc.
-Provide event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate support, sustainment and achievement of expected tangible benefits.
-Use appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document improvements.
-Coach and develop a problem-solving culture at all levels of the organization.
-Ability to communicate across the organization at all levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership level.
-Lead and direct Root Cause Failure Analysis of significant People, Process and Equipment related downtime events, implement permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of re-occurrence.
-Ensure customer service quality by CI project implementation on specific pain areas based on customer complaints
-Conduct quarterly process excellence workshops for best practices knowledge sharing
-Identify specific training needs of the quality related employees and non-quality related employees who are improvement project leaders
-Align to the organizational quality policy & implement divisional continuous improvement plan
-Assist Divisional Quality heads & Corporate Quality for any quality excellence award preparation
-Follow up with operations to comply with legal standards like instrument calibration, & tools & tackles test
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Qualification
B.E/B.Tech or equivalent- Graduate Engineer
Experience
-Min.1012 Yrs. of Experience in Manufacturing Industry
-Min. 67 Yrs. of Experience of Quality Excellence / TQM drives
-Six Sigma Black Belt/ Master Black Belt Certified.
-Ability to lead, plan and manage change
-Knowledge on various statistical tools
-Varied knowledge of business workflows, operations processes & systems.
-Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities and convey the need for change.
-Experience dealing with Senior Executive and stakeholder management
-Strong analytical skills combined with a high degree of commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the strategic development of the business as a whole
-Experience with driving cultural change throughout an organization
-An innovative, creative approach to problem solving desirable
-Communication and Influence - able to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders in Sales, Risk and Operations
