- Lead Quality Excellence deployment and maturity improvement across plants
- Drive Quality 4.0 / digital transformation initiatives in quality processes
- Conduct Quality Excellence maturity assessments and track roadmap execution
- Identify and deliver CI-driven cost reduction projects
- Lead quality improvement projects (Six Sigma, 8D, CI) from identification to closure
- Build organizational capability in CI, QC Circles, Six Sigma, and problem-solving
- Drive LZD (Zero Defect) Quality Story Projects across plants
- Lead Six Sigma training deployment (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt)
- Ensure alignment and standardization of Quality Excellence practices across multiple manufacturing units
- Lead participation in Pratibha Competition and Quality Excellence awards
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Quality Excellence
- Lead divisional Quality Excellence initiatives aligned with strategic objectives
- Integrate Quality 4.0 concepts (digital tools, analytics, automation) into quality systems
- Drive deployment of CI methodologies across multiple plants
- Ensure standardization and replication of best practices across units
- Establish Lean systems, governance frameworks, and best practices
2. Continuous Improvement
- Drive policy deployment aligned with business goals across plants
- Facilitate cross-functional and cross-plant reviews and roadmap adherence
- Promote standardization and a strong problem-solving culture
3. Project & Performance Management
- Lead Six Sigma, 8D, and cross-functional improvement projects
- Track project progress, stage gates, and benefit realization across plants
- Act as approver/verifier in project governance
- Define and monitor KPIs for quality and excellence initiatives
- Mentor and review LZD Quality Story Projects for effectiveness and scalability
4. Quality Leadership & Governance
- Build and lead a strong quality organization across multiple plants
- Provide coaching on quality strategy and customer focus
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance across units
5. Problem Solving & Culture Building
- Lead root cause analysis for major issues and implement corrective actions
- Drive CI culture across all levels and plants
- Promote Zero Defect mindset through structured Quality Story approaches
- Conduct quarterly cross-plant excellence reviews and best-practice sharing
6. Customer & Stakeholder Focus
- Improve customer satisfaction through targeted CI initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-location teams for sustainable improvements
- Communicate effectively from shop floor to leadership
7. Capability Building, Training & Awards
- Identify training needs and build CI and quality capabilities across plants
- Plan and deploy Six Sigma training programs (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt)
- Track certification, project linkage, and effectiveness of training programs
- Coach teams for LZD Quality Story presentation standards
- Build capability in Quality 4.0 tools (data analytics, digital systems, automation)
- Lead and coordinate participation in Pratibha Competition, Group Quality Awards, and other forums
- Align divisional quality initiatives with long-term excellence roadmap
Requirements:
- 10–12 years in manufacturing industry
- 6–7 years in Quality Excellence / CI roles
- Proven experience in handling multiple plants / locations
- Exposure to Quality 4.0 / digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing
