District Manager

Sustainable Green Initiative Foundation (SGIF) is inviting applications from passionate and committed professionals to join its Agroforestry and Environmental Sustainability Program across Odisha.

Supported by leading CSR partners such as Infosys and Indus Towers, SGIF works to address climate change and environmental degradation through large-scale agroforestry, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable land-use interventions. Our initiatives focus on enhancing carbon sequestration, restoring ecological balance, improving biodiversity, and strengthening climate resilience in rural landscapes.

While environmental sustainability remains at the core of our mission, our interventions also create significant socio-economic benefits for marginalized farming communities by enhancing farm productivity, diversifying income sources, strengthening livelihood security, and promoting sustainable natural resource management.

Currently, our projects are being implemented across Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, with a focus on climate action, environmental sustainability, landscape restoration, and community-led livelihood enhancement.

Number of Vacancies

• Balangir – 2, Nuapada – 1, Kalahandi – 1

Reporting To: Project Manager

Salary: 39,000/- per month (Inclusive of Travel Expenses). Subject to statutory deductions where applicable

Key Responsibilities

• Overall operational management of the Agroforestry Project at district level.
• Ensure 90%+ survival rate of plantations established under the project.
• Coordinate supply, distribution, and tracking of project inputs.
• Support procurement and logistics management.
• Lead and supervise field teams.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, success stories, and documentation.
• Organize training programs for farmers and staff.
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management.

Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

Preferred Experiences

· Horticulture, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Rural Development, Social Work

Requirements

• Valid two-wheeler driving license.
• Own motorcycle.
• Own laptop.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Odia, Hindi, and English.
