About The Team
The Enterprise Finance Technology team (EBS) supports the successful deployment and adoption of new Finance technology across the enterprise. Finance Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization.
Enterprise Business Services @ IDC Bangalore and Chennai in India are focused on data driven, highly optimized products and implementations in the areas of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and Retail business functions for multiple Walmart markets with open stack technologies and other ERP tools.
What you'll do:
This is a vital role with significant growth prospect. You will have work to do from day one and you will be counted on to create opportunities that aligns with the overall organization goals. Some of this role key responsibilities are but not limited to:
- System Design and Scalability: Architect complex software systems, ensuring performance, security, and scalability needs are met. Lead technology transformation to Mciroservices architecture
- Architectural guidance in building end-to-end data platform powering customer and stakeholder facing advanced analytics
- Technical Guidance and Mentoring: Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX/UI, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and engineering.
- Code Review and Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices through thorough code reviews.
- Innovation and Research: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, conducting research to identify emerging tools and methodologies.
- Project Management and Delivery: Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with architectural goals.
- Collaborative Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration.
What you'll bring:
Some of the skills needed for this role are but not limited to:
- Extensive experiencein the design, development, and delivery ofsoftware productswith a large user base.
- Experience designing and operating Microservices at scale
- Experience in building Agentic AI solutions using LLM models, Langraph, Langchain frameworks, using Gen AI productivity tools like Github Copilot, Codium
- Experience in data platforms and analytics
- Prior hands-on experience in Java, Spring, ORMs, REST APIs
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, Caching (scaling to global customer base)
- Experience with frontend architecture and tech stack (react.js, react.native, node.js) is a big plus
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Understanding ofdistributed technologies, public cloud technologies, scalable platforms, full stack development, Generative AI, and Operational Excellence.
- Experience working withgeographically distributedteams.
- Business acumen;combining technical vision with business insights.
