This role sits at the intersection of commercial leadership, scientific expertise, and strategic market development within the life sciences industry. You will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the adoption of leading lab filtration product portfolios across India and South Asia. Working within a matrix organization, you will lead and develop commercial teams focused on delivering impactful sales outcomes across key scientific and industrial segments. The position requires strong engagement with customers in biotech, pharmaceuticals, CROs/CDMOs, and academic research environments. You will play a key role in shaping regional commercial strategy, strengthening market presence, and identifying new growth opportunities. This is a high-impact leadership role combining technical understanding, commercial execution, and relationship building in a fast-evolving scientific ecosystem.
Accountabilities
- Define and execute the lab filtration commercial strategy in alignment with regional and global business priorities to drive sustainable market growth.
- Lead, develop, and support a team of Account Managers and Sales Specialists focused on expanding Whatman and Pall product portfolios.
- Drive revenue growth and market share expansion across key segments including pharma, biopharma, CROs/CDMOs, and academic institutions.
- Own financial planning and demand forecasting for assigned product portfolios, ensuring accurate business performance tracking.
- Develop and implement customer acquisition strategies targeting new accounts and strategic key customers across the region.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in biotech, translational research, and academic environments to understand evolving customer needs.
- Enhance commercial team capability through continuous training, technical knowledge development, and structured communication.
- Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in life sciences commercial roles, with proven exposure to sales leadership and team management.
- Strong understanding of laboratory filtration, quality control (QC), OEM, and applied life science markets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, work in matrix organizations, and collaborate across cross-functional environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in developing and executing growth strategies in scientific or technical markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term strategic relationships.
- Ability to analyze market dynamics and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- High level of autonomy, adaptability, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
