Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on leader to build and run our Web Operations & Platform Reliability function, owning the end-to-end execution, performance, and stability of our global web ecosystem.

This role will act as the operational backbone of our digital platform, ensuring:

  • Reliable and high-quality web releases
  • Strong site performance and uptime
  • Scalable content and data operations
  • Continuous optimization through analytics and experimentation

You will lead a centralized Web Operations Hub, working closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and Marketing teams to deliver a high-performing, data-driven digital experience at scale.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Web Operations Ownership (CORE HOOK)

  • Own end-to-end web operations, including:
  • Content publishing
  • Release management
  • QA & validation
  • Production stability
  • Ensure SLA-driven delivery with minimal defects and downtime
  • Build and scale a centralized Web Ops function

2. Platform Reliability & Site Health

  • Own site reliability, uptime, and performance
  • Drive improvements in:
  • Page speed & Core Web Vitals
  • Technical SEO & crawlability
  • Platform stability & issue resolution
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices

3. Analytics, Data & Measurement

  • Ensure high-quality analytics implementation and data accuracy

Oversee:

  • Tagging strategy (GTM / GA4)
  • Behavioral tracking
  • Data governance
  • Enable data-driven decision making across the web platform

4. Experimentation & Optimization

  • Build and scale a high-velocity experimentation engine
  • Own A/B testing lifecycle and optimization roadmap
  • Partner with teams to drive:
  • Conversion rate optimization
  • User journey improvements

5. Personalization & Customer Experience

  • Enable personalized web experiences at scale
  • Work with CDP and analytics teams to:
  • Define audience segments
  • Deliver dynamic user journeys

6. Governance & Operating Model

  • Define and implement:
  • Operating model for Web Ops
  • Playbooks, workflows, and governance frameworks
  • Standardize:
  • Content structures
  • Taxonomy
  • Data quality

7. Leadership & Team Building (STRONG FOCUS)

  • Build and lead a high-performing Web Operations team
  • Define roles, KPIs, and career paths
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with:
  • Engineering
  • Product
  • Data
  • Marketing

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years in web operations / digital platform operations

Strong experience in:

  • Running large-scale websites / platforms
  • Release management & production operations
  • Site performance & reliability
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams

Exposure to:

  • CMS platforms (Contentful or similar)
  • Analytics (GA4, GTM)
  • Experimentation tools (Optimizely, VWO, AB Tasty)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • SEO & site health
  • User behavior & conversion optimization
