Overview

Role Context

The RealPage India Center hosts multiple functions including Product Management, Engineering, IT, Product Support, Product Implementation, and Product Operations. AI innovation across these teams is federated and bottom-up, with execution owned by functional teams and platforms owned globally.

This role serves as a lean, central AI Program Officea single senior leader responsible for orchestrating, accelerating, and scaling AI initiatives across the RealPage India Center without owning a delivery team.

Job Summary

The Director Technology is responsible for program-managing all bottom-up AI initiatives across the RealPage India Center. With a primary focus on AI Programs & Enablement, this role identifies, incubates, prioritizes, and scales AI and Agentic AI use cases originating within delivery, product, and technology teams, while ensuring alignment with RealPage's global technology and AI strategy, platforms, and governance.

Operating without direct reports, this leader succeeds through influence, structure, and claritycreating repeatable mechanisms that allow AI innovation to emerge from teams, scale responsibly, and deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Portfolio Ownership (Primary Accountability)

Own a single, RealPage India Centerwide portfolio of AI initiatives spanning all India-based functions. Establish and operate a clear intake, evaluation, and prioritization model. Ensure every initiative has defined outcomes and ownership.

  • AI Programs & Enablement

Enable teams to identify AI opportunities in workflows and systems. Provide guidance on GenAI and Agentic AI patterns, tooling choices, and build vs. buy decisions. Increase AI fluency focused on practical application.

  • Technology Operating Model & Governance

Design and run a federated AI operating model aligned with broader technology strategy. Act as the single point of coordination with Global AI, Engineering, IT, Security, Privacy, and Risk teams while preserving experimentation speed.

  • Scaling & Transition Management

Identify initiatives suitable for enterprise scale and orchestrate smooth transition to global or platform ownership. Reduce duplication through reuse of assets and learnings.

  • Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

Serve as strategic advisor to the SVP & MD and India leadership team. Partner with functional leaders and deliver concise executive-level updates.

  • Metrics, Value Realization & Insights

Define and track KPIs for productivity, quality, adoption, and reuse. Ensure measurable business outcomes.

  • Community & Capability Building

Nurture an AI practitioner network, promote IC career paths, and foster responsible experimentation.

Role Clarity

This role does not own a central AI engineering or data science team, does not build production systems directly, and does not replace functional or global technology ownership. The role multiplies impact by enabling others.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field. 15+ years of experience across technology, product, engineering, or operations. Proven success leading cross-functional programs without direct authority. Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, and emerging Agentic AI concepts and use cases. Experience operating in complex, global enterprise environments.

Preferred: SaaS or enterprise software experience, exposure to AI governance and responsible AI, and experience working with large India delivery centers.
