Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and drive the long-term vision for SMS, Firewall, USSD, MMSC, and No-Code/Low-Code platforms.
- Align product strategy with organizational goals and evolving market needs.
- Lead competitive analysis, identify industry trends, and incorporate emerging technologies into product planning.
2. Product Development
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and developer teams to define detailed product specifications and technical requirements.
- Manage end-to-end product lifecyclefrom concept through development to launchwith a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central liaison among cross-functional teams, including design, compliance, marketing, and engineering.
- Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback, improve offerings, and ensure alignment with user needs.
- Represent the product internally and externally, driving customer success and stakeholder satisfaction.
4. Performance Analysis
- Implement monitoring tools to track product KPIs (e.g., throughput, latency, error rates).
- Analyze trends, user behavior, and system metrics to continuously improve product performance and user experience.
5. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with global telecom regulations and security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
- Maintain data privacy and implement necessary controls across the product lifecycle.
6. User Experience (UX)
- Drive intuitive UX design, especially in USSD workflows and No-Code/Low-Code environments.
- Focus on simplifying complex workflows and enhancing overall user engagement.
Qualifications
Experience
- 810 years of experience in product management within telecom or enterprise software domains.
- Proven track record in managing SMS, USSD, Firewall, and No-Code/Low-Code platforms.
- Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects in regulated industries.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of telecom protocols (SMPP, SS7), USSD, and firewall systems.
- Hands-on experience with No-Code/Low-Code platforms such as OutSystems, Appian, or Microsoft PowerApps.
- Familiarity with telecom infrastructure: 2G, 3G, 4G networks.
- Strong background in API design and integration (RESTful, SOAP).
- Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of network security, encryption, and cybersecurity standards.
- Proficiency in analytics and product management tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics, JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
Analytical Skills
- Strong data-driven mindset with expertise in interpreting metrics and deriving actionable insights.
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
- Exposure to AI/ML-based analytics for product optimization.
- Understanding of telecom compliance frameworks such as GSMA, FCC, and regional standards.
- Background in UX research and design thinking.
