Designation: Director - Startup Engagement
Job Description:
RBC is looking for leaders who can work against equity with startups. Leaders with experience in working with startup ecosystems and motivation to work and develop start-ups is a must. Any specific competency like operations, technology development, marketing is strong and added advantage. Salary based compensation will start post investment /fund raising.
Role Requirements:
Solid understanding of startup business models and execution dynamics
Motivated, able to solve bottlenecks and build strong network and active connections within the startup ecosystem
Experience working across multiple startup sectors (e.g., EV, Clean Energy, Robotics, Fin-tech, Healthcare etc.)
Ability to evaluate startups from business, operational, and growth perspectives
Understanding of startup operational strategy development and roadmap structuring
Capability to analyze functional alignment, leadership bandwidth, and execution gaps
Key Skills & Competencies:
Overall 16 years of work experience and exposure to startup ecosystem
Strong negotiation skills for structuring RBC's co-building (startup venture) and business consultation engagements and will be able to work on RBC's projection of growth
Fundamental understanding of startup financials, valuations, and growth narratives
Ability to communicate strategically with Startup Founders, CXOs, and Ecosystem stakeholders
