We are seeking a Director in Solutions Engineering to join the global Aven Hospitality team. As Director in Solutions Engineering, you will lead and scale a global organization that serves as a critical bridge between commercial, product and delivery teams. You will define the technical engagement strategy across the entire customer lifecycle, from pre-sales discovery to post-sales value reinforcement and renewals. This role requires a deep understanding of hospitality technology ecosystems, strong people leadership skills and the ability to influence executive stakeholders across a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a global Solutions Engineering organization to drive operational excellence and bridge commercial, product and delivery functions.
- Define technical engagement strategies and lead the design of technical solutions for complex enterprise sales opportunities and RFPs from discovery through to implementation.
- Map platform capabilities to customer business drivers to create solutions through product configuration or identified enhancements that address technical gaps.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and architect teams on development, infrastructure and security efforts to align with technical roadmaps and market intelligence.
- Support the ongoing growth and mentoring of Solutions Architects, Engineers and adjacent teams to foster a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications And Education
- Minimum 10 years of experience in hospitality technology with a focus on enterprise solutions engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading high-performing and geographically distributed technical teams.
- Expert level knowledge of SynXis CRS, the Core Platform and Aven Hospitality products and services including APIs and integrations.
- Expertise in pre-sales and post-sales technical engagement models including discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills within a fast-paced and global matrixed business environment.
