Role Overview
Movate is seeking a senior GIS leader to build, scale, and lead its Geospatial Services practice. This role will own strategy, delivery, business growth, and P&L for GIS offerings, serving global enterprise customers across industries such as navigation, utilities, urban planning, telecom, infrastructure, and smart cities.
Key Responsibilities
Practice & Business Leadership
- Own and scale the GIS / Geospatial Services practice including delivery, solutions, and growth strategy
- Drive P&L ownership, revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational excellence
- Define service offerings across GIS, 3D, LiDAR, Photogrammetry, BIM, and Digital Maps
- Build strategic partnerships with technology vendors, hyperscalers, and data providers
Delivery & Operations
- Lead end‑to‑end global delivery of large‑scale GIS programs
- Oversee multi‑location delivery teams and ensure quality, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction
- Establish delivery frameworks, best practices, and governance models
Sales, Presales & Client Engagement
- Work closely with sales, presales, and bid teams to drive pipeline and conversions
- Support solutioning, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentations
- Act as an executive sponsor for key client accounts
Technology & Innovation
- Drive innovation in Geospatial analytics, AI/ML integration, automation, and digital transformation
- Stay ahead of market trends in mapping, navigation, smart cities, digital twins, and autonomous systems
People & Stakeholder Management
- Build and mentor high‑performance leadership teams
- Engage with CXOs, boards, and external stakeholders
- Drive talent development and succession planning within the GIS practice
Required Experience & Skills
- 20+ years of experience in GIS / Geospatial services, with significant leadership exposure
- Strong background in Geospatial data, GIS platforms, LiDAR, 3D mapping, Photogrammetry, and BIM
- Proven experience in P&L management, business scaling, and global delivery
- Strong understanding of enterprise GIS use cases across multiple verticals
- Demonstrated success in working with large global clients and government agencies
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
