About the Role

Vedantu is looking for a highly analytical and result-oriented professional for the role of Director – Sales Operations / Sales Excellence. The role will be responsible for driving maximum revenue efficiency through strong sales governance, lead management, center coordination, funnel optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in sales operations, lead behavior analysis, revenue optimization, business analytics, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Sales Efficiency

  • Drive maximum revenue generation through sales process optimization and operational excellence.
  • Monitor business performance, conversion metrics, and sales productivity across centers/regions.
  • Identify revenue leakage points and implement corrective actions.
  • Build scalable sales operating mechanisms to improve overall business efficiency.

Lead Management & Distribution

  • Analyze customer and lead behavior patterns to improve conversion efficiency.
  • Own lead allocation, lead sharing logic, and lead distribution frameworks across teams/centers.
  • Optimize lead utilization and ensure higher ROI from marketing-generated leads.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to improve lead quality and funnel performance.

Sales Analytics & Business Insights

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and business insights for leadership reviews.
  • Drive data-backed decision-making using sales MIS, funnel metrics, and performance analytics.
  • Analyze center-wise performance, sales trends, customer behavior, and operational gaps.
  • Forecast business numbers, conversion trends, and revenue opportunities.

Center Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with center teams, regional business heads, and sales leadership for smooth operations.
  • Ensure alignment between Operations, Marketing, Academics, and Sales functions.
  • Standardize processes and drive operational discipline across centers.
  • Act as a bridge between business teams and leadership for execution excellence.

Process Excellence & Automation

  • Improve sales processes, SOPs, CRM workflows, and operational systems.
  • Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure process adherence, governance, and operational transparency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Excellence, or Business Analytics roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data interpretation.
  • Experience in handling lead management systems, lead allocation, and sales funnel optimization.
  • Proven experience in driving revenue growth through operational improvements.
  • Strong understanding of customer/lead behavior analytics and sales productivity metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and center coordination experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools, dashboards, and MIS reporting.
  • Experience in EdTech, Retail, BFSI, Internet, or high-growth startup environments preferred.
