Director - Research & Innovation

Qualifications

• Essential:

(1) Ph.D. (preferably in discipline of Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Electronics & Communication, and Information Technology) with a strong research background.

(2) Minimum 20 years of teaching / research / administrative experience out of which 5 years as Professor / equivalent pay level in well reputed (preferable in a NAAC A or above grade) institution.

• Desirable:

(1) Proven record of research publications, patents, funded projects, and innovation initiatives.

(2) Experience in research leadership, grants management, and industry linkages.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement policies to strengthen research and innovation at the University.
• Promote interdisciplinary and translational research aligned with national and global priorities.
• Establish and manage research centers, incubation hubs, and technology transfer cells.
• Facilitate faculty and student research projects, patents, publications, and consultancy work.
• Build collaborations with industries, funding agencies, and international partners.
• Ensure compliance with research ethics, grants management, and reporting requirements.
• Represent the University at national and international research forums.
