Job Description Summary

As the Director of RCM AR Operations, you will be the architect of our AR expansion in India. You are joining at a pivotal moment: we are transitioning critical AR verticals from global partners back to ModMed to ensure a premium, high-touch customer experience.

You will lead the strategy to ramp up our India team from 35 to over 150 professionals. This role requires a blend of bold innovation and meticulous execution. You will design the workflows, select the talent, and implement the automation strategies that ensure our practices remain financially healthy and our patients remain at the center of care.

Your Impact (Primary Responsibilities)

  • Strategic Growth & Execution (25%): Design and execute the DDIE (Discover-Design-Implement-Execute) strategy for practice-level AR. You will ensure front-end processes minimize claim denials and back-end balances are resolved within permissible limits.
  • Talent Architecture (25%): Drive the hiring engine. You will partner with Talent Acquisition to identify, interview, and onboard a best-in-class workforce of 100+ new team members who fit the ModMed culture of Doing Good while Thinking Big.
  • Innovation & Automation (15%): Identify opportunities to Innovate Boldly. You will lead the charge in implementing automation, decision trees, and tech updates to improve quality and productivity.
  • Operational Quality (20%): In collaboration with Quality and Training teams, you will ensure the team meets world-class standards through focused audits and awareness programs, keeping KPIs in sharp focus.
  • Global Collaboration (15%): Work across geographies to develop best-in-class practices. You will participate in client escalation discussions, turning challenges into retention opportunities through expert problem-solving.

Who You Are

  • A Builder: You have a proven track record of building large-scale RCM teams (100+ FTEs) from scratch in India. You know the local talent market and have a network to prove it.
  • An Expert: You bring 20+ years of hands-on experience in Provider RCM, with a mastery of the US healthcare AR landscape.
  • A Change Agent: You don't just follow a manual; you write it. You are comfortable with ambiguity and have successfully led teams through significant process shifts and technology implementations.
  • A People First Leader: You believe in Having Fun and Creating Delight. You maintain high employee satisfaction and know that a motivated team is the key to controlling attrition and driving success.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Human Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 20+ years in core Provider RCM, specifically focused on AR processes within the Indian BPO/KPO sector.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and Presentation skills. Deep understanding of AI implementation in the RCM space and Project Management methodologies.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Coder (CPC/CCS-P) is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders globally across multiple time zones.
