About the Role
Responsible for strategic purchasing leadership for the IMEA region, including supplier development, sustainable sourcing, farming program development, commodity risk management, and alignment with global category strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional purchasing strategy development aligned with global frameworks.
- Oversee sourcing programs for spices, herbs, packaging, and indirect materials.
- Develop and scale farming programs that improve quality and strengthen community impact.
- Lead SRM processes including scorecards, audits, and capability development.
- Manage contracts, negotiations, market risk, and long-term agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, Finance, Sustainability, and Manufacturing.
- Drive sustainable sourcing initiatives ensuring ethical, traceable supply chains.
- Manage regional budget, PPV performance, working capital, and cost-savings initiatives.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing regional purchasing team.
- Develop metrics for gauging vendor performance and conducts reviews on a quarterly basis.
- Maintains a network of professional contacts in order to discover new opportunities for better pricing, quality and terms.
- Play a led role in the S&OP process from the supply standpoint.
- Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
- Lead and/or support cross functional teams that impact Griffith's Strategic Positioning.
- Work closely with several internal stakeholders to assure an optimized cost of use for all raw materials.
- Communicate with internal and external customers on raw material topics, issues, and variances to the Operating Plan.
- Drive process solutions and have strong project management skills.
- Apply legal and ethical behavior to negotiations and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance of suppliers to Griffith's quality, regulatory, and legal documentation expectations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business or related field.
- 10+ years in strategic purchasing; experience in spices/herbs sourcing, farming programs, sustainability, negotiation, and global supplier management.
- Strong MRP/ERP knowledge and analytical skills.
