About the Role

As the Director, Professional Services Consulting, you will be responsible for the implementation of the UKG Pro suite products for the Launch team, covering all markets from Strategic to Enterprise. You will own the overall client experience through implementation for each client in your portfolio, providing strategic direction to your functional managers and their teams of Solution Consultants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a significant team, with direct reports including functional managers and an indirect staff of over 40 employees.
  • Establish organizational goals and objectives, and monitor performance to plan, adjusting resources, organization structure, and personnel to achieve overall goals. Delegate tasks and assignments appropriately and monitor progress effectively.
  • Provide significant input into strategic and tactical decisions related to your functional discipline.
  • Solve multiple problems involving complex technical and managerial issues, both within your functional discipline and across multiple disciplines.
  • Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to company strategies and procedures. You will frequently meet with senior managers and peers from other functional groups to address external dependencies and resolve issues.
  • Interact with senior management (VP/Director level) in sales, engineering, and support. Represent UKG to these customers and possess the authority to commit significant company resources in these interactions. You will be responsible for overall customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for key product input and requirements communications to Engineering, which will have a very significant impact on the company's medium-term competitive positioning and service delivery costs.
  • Develop staffing strategies, recruit and hire staff, and supervise direct and functional reports. Establish individual performance goals and priorities, review performance against goals, and provide counseling. Plan, approve, and implement programs for the timely development and progress of each individual. Plan and grant salary increases as appropriate. Manage discipline and documentation steps in problem employee situations, and manage dismissals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of technical and consulting management experience (with 3-5 years at a Director level) in a high-volume, customer-focused environment, preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, Payroll, and/or Time and Labor domains, preferred.
  • Proven results in improving customer satisfaction, driving delivery timelines, enhancing employee engagement, and boosting team productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish organizational goals and objectives, monitor performance to plan, and adjust resources, organization structure, and personnel to achieve overall goals.
  • Serve as the point of escalation as needed, responsible for negotiating and resolving escalated issues that arise during implementation.
  • Proven experience in creating an employee and customer-centric culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and managerial skills with an indirect staff of over 40 employees. Ability to manage conflict situations constructively.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects, manage time effectively, and exhibit detail-oriented organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivering projects on or before expected due dates.
  • Experience preparing and writing demonstrations, proposals, policies, procedures, job descriptions, and schedules.
  • Use of good judgment and a sense of urgency in the decision-making process when assessing problems/situations.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in all areas on a regular basis.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and general business acumen
