Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (Experience: 16–21 years only)

  • Lead, organize, manage and develop a team of managers, product analysts, technical resources and subject matter experts
  • Personal leadership development and succession planning
  • Assist in continuous improvement of staff
  • Management of resource allocations
  • Manage operations of the department
  • Build solid relationships with leadership, business partners, staff, vendors
  • Manage resources, prioritizing tasks, providing resources estimates, adjusting to change
  • Manage, develop, implement and assess processes that support Agile methodologies
  • Conduct staff meetings and 1:1 engagement with staff
  • Prioritization of portfolio efforts / work in progress (WIP)
  • Create talent roadmaps for strategic alignment of product features
  • Create and enable strategies for making data-driven decisions on Software Engineering and future investments
  • Assess situations, formalize options, and provide recommendations
  • Work with team to review and improve processes and recommend emerging technology solutions
  • Engage constructively with stakeholders and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Responsible for operational budget, review staff allocation, department operational expenses, vendor license / maintenance fees for monthly operating reviews and annual budget exercise
  • Collaborate across departments to meet project milestones, allocating and adjusting resources as necessary
  • Lead resources in managing multiple projects teams
  • Drive and participate in business case development and contract negotiations
  • Communicate with leadership and participate in resolving conflicts involving staff, vendors, stakeholders, and business partners
  • Work with team to define and promote using proven methodology adhering to architecture and security standards focusing on patient safety along with physician and clinician satisfaction
  • Assist with project budgets, review resource cost and expenses for project monthly operating reviews

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related fields

Years of Experience: 16–21 years of experience:

  • In Software Engineering, Program management
  • In stakeholder management
  • In software development
  • In software architecture
  • In Engineering standards, Processes and Frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience:
  • In a management position

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of best practices for Software development processes and methodologies
  • Prior management experience required, experience with software applications and full project lifecycle required and program management
  • Experience in leading software development projects and teams
  • Functional knowledge of software architecture best practices and processes
  • Knowledge of modern application development frameworks (C#, .NET Core, native mobile frameworks, Azure, AWS, GCP, Java, Python, GenAI, DevOps)
  • Experience with Lean Development tools and Agile methodologies a plus

Other Skills
