Position Summary
The Director for Quantum Education is responsible for establishing a world-class, industry-aligned quantum education ecosystem. This role bridges academia and industry, crafting curricula that address the urgent need for skilled professionals in quantum hardware, software, and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and continuously update undergraduate, postgraduate, or executive education programs in Quantum Technology/Quantum AI.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop a 3-5 year roadmap for quantum education initiatives, aligning academic offerings with the National Quantum Mission and industry demands
- Industry & Government Partnership: Build strategic relationships with Research labs, industry leaders, and government partners (e.g., DST, MeitY, DRDO) for collaborations, research grants, and internships.
- Faculty & Academic Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of academic professionals in delivering high-quality education and research.
- Research & Innovation: Drive independent or cross-functional research projects in quantum algorithms, hardware, or quantum computing applications.
- Student & Ecosystem Engagement: Promote quantum literacy through specialized workshops, webinars, and hackathons to drive student acquisition.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field, with a focus on Quantum Technologies.
- Experience: Significant experience in leading research, academic programs, or technical education initiatives, preferably 10+ years.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of quantum computing algorithms, hardware, or related AI/cryptography domains.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams, build stakeholder relationships, and achieve strategic goals.
