Job Description

A Director of Quantum Computer Sales drives commercial revenue and market adoption for highly complex quantum hardware, software, or cryogenic infrastructure. They bridge the gap between cutting-edge deep-tech and measurable business value, closing multi-million-dollar deals with C-level executives, researchers, and government agencies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute regional or global go-to-market (GTM) strategies to exceed annual booking and revenue targets.
  • Enterprise Deal Leadership: Manage complex, long-cycle B2B and public sector sales from prospecting and technical discovery to contract closure.
  • Executive Engagement: Translate highly technical quantum utility into ROI-driven value propositions for CTOs, CIOs, and lead researchers.
  • Ecosystem & Partnership Building: Establish strategic alliances with cloud providers, research consortiums, and system integrators.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and scale high-performing technical sales teams and Account Executives.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in enterprise technology sales, hardware system sales, business development, or strategic partnerships, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
  • Background: Proven success selling high-complexity solutions such as HPC (High-Performance Computing), SaaS, semiconductors, or deep-tech.
  • Technical Acumen: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Business. While a Ph.D. is not always mandatory, a strong technical comprehension of full-stack hardware ecosystems is required.
  • Skills: Elite executive communication, negotiation skills, and a track record of closing large, multi-year, multi-stakeholder deals.
