Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Director of Product Management to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Tekion's integrations portfolio, spanning OEM, partner, and broader ecosystem integrations. In this role you will lead the operating model that turns dealer, OEM, and partner requirements into certified, production-grade integrations at scale, while raising throughput, quality, and predictability. You will lead a team of integration product managers and partner closely with Integrations Engineering, Partner Integrations, Implementation, Sales, Customer Success and other critical teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that connect the automotive retail ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
- Own and communicate a clear product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for OEM and partner integrations, aligned with company objectives and the broader APC platform thesis.
- Define the integration platform strategy, evolving from distributed, customized delivery toward a centralized, productized platform-based integration model with reusable patterns and self-service enablement.
- Track market trends, OEM program requirements, and the competitive landscape to shape build/partner decisions and prioritize the roadmap.
Delivery & Operating Model
- Own the end-to-end integration delivery motion, including prioritization ,solutioning, development, testing, and rollout, with clear milestone gates and exit criteria at each stage.
- Build and continuously improve the AI-native integration delivery motion and domain specific playbooks to increase throughput and quality.
- Drive measurable improvement in delivery throughput, cycle time, and predictability, including productivity gains from AI-assisted scoping, specification, and tooling.
- Enforce delivery governance through Jira-based visibility, work-in-progress management at the source, and disciplined sprint allocation; maintain a single source of truth for status.
Customer, OEM & Partner Engagement
- Serve as the voice of dealers, OEMs, and partners, translating their needs into actionable requirements and well-defined user stories.
- Build collaborative external relationships with OEM and partner stakeholders and represent the integrations portfolio in customer-facing engagements and executive reviews.
- Support OEM certification processes across US, Canada, UK, and additional markets as the program expands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Integrations Engineering, Partner Integrations, SRE, Implementation, Sales, Customer Success and other critical teams to deliver scalable, well-monitored integrations and clear role accountability across the delivery chain.
- Coordinate releases with Marketing, Sales, Support, Implementation, and Partner Integrations to drive adoption and a smooth go-to-market.
- Influence executive stakeholders with data-driven recommendations and concise, decision-ready communication.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–15 integration product managers, fostering professional growth and a high-performing, accountable culture.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure integration delivery and platform success and drive continuous improvement in product management practices.
- Be the subject-matter expert for the integration's portfolio, deeply understanding requirements and benefits and effectively communicating them to colleagues and executives.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product management experience in B2B/B2C SaaS, including 3+ years leading and mentoring PM teams.
- Proven track record defining and delivering integration, API, or platform products at scale, ideally in a multi-stakeholder (customer/OEM/partner) environment.
- Strong technical depth, comfortable with APIs, webhooks, data models, and system integration concepts, and able to move fluidly from C-level strategy to detailed execution.
- Experience managing medium-to-large product management organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market and operational insights into actionable product plans and clear prioritization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern product development and delivery tooling (e.g., Jira).
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Preferred: experience with automotive OEM workflows and systems, DMS/CRM ecosystems, and OEM certification processes across US, Canada, or UK markets.
