Job Description

About the role

As Head of Product, you own the Shopflo product and design organisation end to end. This is a builder's role with a founder's mandate. Your job is to make product quality the most, make merchants successful, find where Shopflo wins structurally and re-platform Shopflo for the agentic commerce era while leveraging the massive ecosystem of PineLabs across online and offline payments, EMI and issuer relationships.

Roles and responsibilities

Own the core product and make quality the moat: Own the checkout product and the ancillary suite, and hold them to a standard that is demonstrably best in class. Treat performance, reliability, and correctness as competitive weapons rather than hygiene.

Make merchants successful, and build with them: Shopflo succeeds only when its merchants do. Own the outcome metrics that matter to a D2C brand — conversion lift, RTO reduction, repeat rate, cost per order, marketing ROAS, etc — measured per merchant and reported honestly. Establish and run a design-partner cohort of leading brands to co-create products that genuinely matter to our merchants.

Set the strategy: where to play, how to win: Define Shopflo's segment focus and differentiation in a shifting competitive landscape, and be equally clear about where you will not compete. Drive toward two goals: maximum share of each merchant's total commerce GMV, and maximum share of their growth spends.

Re-platform Shopflo for the agentic era: Make Shopflo agent-transactable, building the mandate, consent, and authentication rails for agent-initiated payments, exposing catalogue and offer data machine-readably, and rethinking merchant operations as agentic rather than dashboard-driven.

Connect the dots across Pine Labs: Build the cross-rail products only Pine Labs can build - find synergies across online payments, offline payments, and EMI transactions to create offers, underwriting, audience, and insight products that Shopflo competitors structurally cannot match. This is as much an organisational job as a product one: you will need to earn data access, engineering priority, and commercial alignment from teams you do not control.

Build and lead the product and design organisation: Hire, develop, and set the bar for the Shopflo product and design team. Establish the operating rhythm — planning, prioritisation, shipping cadence — and protect the speed that made Shopflo worth acquiring.

Experience

  • 12–17 years in product management; 6-7 years building b2b / SaaS products; 4+ years leading product managers and managers of PMs
  • Experience in commerce / payments / martech is key
  • Genuine depth on the agentic shift across marketing, commerce, payments, and operations
  • Fluency in the Indian D2C or e-commerce context
  • Experience with a CDP is plus — identity resolution, event infrastructure, or data products spanning multiple sources
  • Experience dealing with Shopify or custom merchant stacks is a plus
