Job Description

About our client

We're partnering with a profitable, Series B fintech backed by leading growth investors. The organisation offers platform-level solutions for businesses, marketplaces and lending partners to reduce friction, accelerate growth, and create measurable post-integration value. We're looking to hire a Director of Product to lead B2B product strategy and execution at scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for platform and integration products (APIs, SDKs, developer experience).
  • Lead end-to-end product development from discovery through launch and iteration for B2B offerings.
  • Architect and prioritize platform standardization efforts: schema design, versioning, reliability, observability.
  • Design and own API strategy and developer experience (documentation, SDKs, testing sandboxes, onboarding flows).
  • Drive measurable post-integration outcomes (activation, adoption, revenue uplift, retention) in partnership with partnerships, sales, and customer success.
  • Collaborate with engineering on scalable architecture and delivery trade-offs; balance technical debt and new feature velocity.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow product managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Work with compliance, security, and operations teams to ensure integrations meet regulatory and risk requirements.
  • Be the product voice with external partners and investors; represent product in customer conversations and roadshows.

Required qualifications

  • 10–12+ years product experience, with 5+ years in B2B product roles and proven people leadership.
  • Deep technical fluency: API design, integration patterns, platform architectures, data schemas, and reliability concerns.
  • Demonstrated track record building and scaling platform/API products used by external partners or enterprises.
  • Strong analytical orientation: defines and tracks metrics (activation, time-to-value, LTV, churn) and uses data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills; experience working with engineering, GTM, and compliance teams.
  • Experience in fintech, lending, or adjacent financial services product ecosystems strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with OAuth, REST/gRPC, webhooks, event-driven architectures, SDKs, and developer portals.
  • Track record of creating measurable revenue or efficiency gains via post-integration programs.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or a successful scale-stage product organization.

On Offer

  • Opportunity to shape product and company direction at a profitable, growth-stage fintech.
  • Competitive salary and equity package
