Director of Photography (DOP)

Skills:

Strong understanding of framing and composition
Good knowledge of cameras and different types of lenses
Understanding of camera movements and exposure
Strong knowledge of lighting techniques and setups
Visual storytelling and ability to translate concepts into compelling visuals
Strong sense of visual aesthetics, perspective, and shot selection
Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with production and creative teams

Role and Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the visual direction of videos, shoots, and creative projects.
Develop appropriate framing, composition, camera angles, and shot selection based on the creative brief.
Select and operate cameras, lenses, and other camera equipment based on the requirements of each project.
Handle camera movements, exposure, focus, and other technical aspects of cinematography.
Design and manage lighting setups to achieve the desired mood, tone, and visual quality.
Work closely with the creative and production teams to understand concepts and translate them into strong visual narratives.
Ensure consistency in visual style, composition, lighting, and overall image quality throughout the shoot.
Contribute creative ideas and visual references during pre-production and planning.
Ensure professional execution of shoots while managing technical and creative requirements on set.
