Director of Operations Luxury Banqueting, Foodlink F&B Holdings (Mumbai Location)
Position Overview
Foodlink F&B Holdings seeks an accomplished Director of Operations to oversee luxury banqueting operations in Mumbai. This senior leadership role drives seamless event execution for high-profile weddings, corporate galas, MICE, and bespoke catering, ensuring world-class service, profitability, and guest delight in a fast-paced, ultra-premium environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically manage all banqueting operations, including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls to maximize revenue while minimizing expenses.
- Lead end-to-end event lifecycle: planning, staffing, vendor coordination, on-site execution, and post-event debriefs for weddings, conferences, and large-scale galas.
- Collaborate with Sales, Culinary, F&B, and external partners to deliver customized luxury experiences aligned with Foodlink's premium brand standards.
- Build, mentor, and optimize high-performance teams (200+ staff during peaks), fostering a culture of excellence, safety (HACCP/FSSAI), and employee retention.
- Monitor KPIs such as guest satisfaction (NPS 90+), utilization rates, repeat business, and operational efficiency; implement innovations and SOPs for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with luxury standards, Mumbai regulations, and sustainability practices; handle client escalations and drive service recovery.
- Analyze market trends, competitor benchmarks, and client feedback to refine offerings and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years in luxury hospitality/banqueting, with 5+ years in senior operations leadership (e.g., banquet director, GM banqueting in 5-star hotels/clubs).
- Proven track record in Mumbai luxury banqueting (weddings, corporates, MICE); deep knowledge of high-volume events (500+ pax).
- Strong P&L management, revenue optimization, and analytics skills (ERP/POS systems like Micros/SAP).
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and crisis-handling abilities; fluent in English/Hindi/Marathi preferred.
- Bachelor's/MBA in Hospitality/Business; certifications in FSSAI/HACCP/F&B operations an advantage.
