Retail Mind Group is a global retail real estate and brand expansion consultancy headquartered in Portugal, with operations across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

We specialize in connecting brands, landlords, and investors helping retail concepts grow internationally through market entry strategies, location development, leasing advisory, and brand expansion management.

With the launch of Retail Mind India, in partnership with Bhavik Group, the company aims to bring its international expertise and network to the Indian retail landscape, offering premium consulting and execution services to developers and brands across the country.

Role Overview

The Leasing Director will be responsible for leading brand development and expansion strategies for Retail Mind India, acting as a bridge between retail brands and commercial real estate opportunities across the Indian market.

This role combines business development, strategic consulting, and leasing execution identifying potential client brands, designing their expansion plans, and negotiating their retail locations nationwide.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge, strong relationships with both brands and developers, and the ability to transform strategic opportunities into signed deals.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Expansion & Client Development Identify, attract, and onboard retail and F&B brands (national and international) as clients of Retail Mind India.

Develop expansion strategies for each client: market analysis, city prioritization, and location mapping.

Advise brands on entry models, formats, investment requirements, and rollout plans.

Manage end-to-end brand expansion projects from first meeting to store opening.

Leasing & Real Estate Advisory Source, evaluate, and negotiate retail locations across shopping malls, high streets, airports, and mixed-use developments.

Maintain strong relationships with developers and landlords, including Phoenix Mills, Nexus Malls, Inorbit, DLF, etc.

Present suitable opportunities to client brands and negotiate commercial terms until deal closure.

Collaborate with landlords to attract relevant brands that add value to their tenant mix.

Leadership & Coordination Work closely with the Retail Mind global team to share leads and expansion opportunities between countries.

Represent Retail Mind India in meetings, conferences, and networking events.

Contribute to building the local team as the business scales.

LEASING DIRECTOR Job Description

Required Experience and Qualifications

10+ years of experience in retail real estate, leasing, or brand expansion in India.

Proven track record in brand development and site acquisition for shopping malls or major retail companies.

Previous experience in organizations such as Phoenix Mills, Nexus Malls, DLF, Inorbit, or similar.

Excellent network with retail brands and mall developers across India.

Experience negotiating lease agreements and developing multi-site expansion plans.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or Marketing (MBA preferred).
