Role Summary:
As an Engineering Director at HighRadius, you will be a key leader driving technical direction, engineering excellence, and product delivery. You will be responsible for mentoring high-performing engineering teams, making critical architectural decisions, and ensuring our engineering efforts align seamlessly with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership:
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and vision to engineering teams.
- Make critical decisions regarding technology stacks, architecture, and system design.
- Allocate resources effectively to balance product development and organisational needs.
- Manage budgets, infrastructure planning, and vendor relationships.
- Hire, develop, and retain world-class engineering talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage team performance through consistent feedback, goal setting, and career development.
Product Delivery:
- Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering goals with business objectives.
- Define and manage product timelines, execution strategies, and release planning.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of product releases, ensuring on-time delivery within scope.
- Enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation to maintain exceptional quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a bridge between the engineering organisation and key stakeholders in Customer Value, Consulting, and Sales.
- Manage client escalations and lead the resolution of major technical incidents.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise:
- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Architecture & Design: Deep understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, and cloud-native data lake tech stacks.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Proficiency in modern deployment practices, Jenkins, GIT, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Observability: Familiarity with ELK stack, Grafana, and Open Telemetry.
- Quality Engineering: Strong emphasis on JUNIT and automated testing frameworks.
- UI/Frontend: Experience with modern UI frameworks.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering problems and delivering high-impact projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder and vendor management.Strong ability to drive AI-led productivity and automation initiatives to accelerate engineering velocity.
