About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead our full-stack development team. You will own the end-to-end delivery of high-quality software, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with product and design teams to shape our technology roadmap. This is a leadership role where technical expertise, people management, and strategic thinking go hand-in-hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of full-stack developers, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and growth.
- Drive technical strategy and architecture for web and backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in hands-on coding and code reviews, mentoring team members and promoting best practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage resource planning, hiring, and onboarding for the engineering team.
- Monitor and improve system performance, security, and code quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1012 years of professional experience in software development with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience in full-stack development:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Cloudflare) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and scalable web applications.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with DevOps, automated testing, and monitoring tools is a plus.
Preferred
- Experience in AI/ML-enabled applications or SaaS products.
- Previous experience as a technical lead or engineering manager in a startup environment.
